IV Therapy in Cold Spring & Surrounding Areas

person getting IV therapyDo you get every bug that’s going around? Maybe you have sinus issues or pneumonia every fall or spring. Or perhaps you’re just so low energy that you can’t even seem to think clearly. Giving your immune system a boost may be a great option for you! At ProWellness Chiropractic and Rehab, our comprehensive approach to overall health and wellness includes various services to help you feel and function your best.

One popular service is IV therapy, a fast, efficient way to fill up your body’s gas tank!

What Is It?

IV therapy is a superior form of delivering nutrients. When you take vitamins and other supplements orally, your gut is only able to absorb about 50%, but when the vitamins are delivered via your vein through an infusion, you receive about 90-95% of the vitamins. What’s the main difference? It’s more effective and you’ll receive more of the benefits.

This therapy involves creating a customized blend of the necessary vitamins & nutrients and delivering them directly into your bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) drip. We have a variety of different “cocktails” & will design a series of sessions based on your symptoms. You may also choose to get monthly maintenance sessions to keep your energy and immunity levels high.

Who Can It Help?

Intravenous (IV) nutritional therapy is commonly used for its wide range of benefits, which can include anti-aging, improved immune system, improved energy and metabolism, improved focus, improved recovery time after an injury, improved hydration, reversed symptoms of hangovers, detoxification and more. Often, this therapy is combined with other services we offer, such as chiropractic care or other healing modalities.

What to Expect

You’ll have a discussion with your provider about your symptoms. Based on your specific situation, we’ll design a care plan that will typically include a series of IVs over some time.

At your appointment, you’ll come in, and we’ll prep the injection site and then start your IV. Depending on your specific therapy, you’ll kick back and relax for 30-60 minutes. Then you’ll be on your way and can return to your normal activities. It is important to drink plenty of fluids the day before your therapy to make sure your veins are well hydrated.

Once they’re feeling better, many patients continue with monthly sessions to keep their immune system working at its peak.
